How To Order A Custom Pair
Welcome to the Custom Area here at Kicks Of Chicago, we take pride in customizing your kicks into a one of a kind exclusive hand painted pair of shoes. Please read the following information below and fill out the custom shoe form below to submit a request. Once you read the information and have submitted the form we will get back to you within 24 to 48 hours through the email you submitted on the form. THE FORM IS BELOW THE INFORMATION AND STEPS.
1. How Much Is A Custom Pair?
I get a lot of questions how much is a custom pair of shoes. Each custom varies in price because each design is different and so its every shoe. Some designs take more time and detail while some are much simpler. Also, the price varies from shoe because some shoes for example like Yeezys are harder to paint on than Air Forces.
2. What Kind Of Shoe?
You can customize nearly anything. However, there are specific sneakers that are the preferred choice for Kicks Of Chicago. So we suggest you do some google research and select one of these for your job. The most popular choices are; Foamposites, Air Max 90s, Prestos, Air Forces, Huaraches, Roshes, Vans, NMDs, Ultra Boosts, and Retro Jordans. So these will be some of the examples we use for this guide. If what you want isn't on that list, don't trip! You can probably still customize it too. You'll just have to email or DM us for confirmation!
3. What Kind Of Material Is Your Shoe Of Choice?
Some designs are limited to what type of shoe you choose. Some materials like mesh, or yeezy fabrics, can't be detailed to the extent of leather or suede materials. That means if your looking for detailed stuff like DBZ or Naruto portrait work, then those materials are not what your looking for. You'll want to choose something with large open and smooth surfaces like; Air Forces, Timberlands, Foamposites, or Jordan retros (1s, 6s, 9s, 10s, or 11s)
4. Can I Ship You My Own Shoe To Use?
Of course! Just make sure you have considered the guidelines above, and if your shoe is the proper material for the job you want.
Also, all shoes sent in must meet the minimum acceptable conditions range. All shoes must be at least what you would reasonably consider an 8 out of 10. NO BEATERS! Kicks Of Chicago will not waste his time placing art on shoes you would otherwise throw away. Wrinkled and creased shoes severely hinder the cleanliness of which he can apply detailed work. So we recommend you send a brand new pair (or at least close a 8/10) and your art will last much longer. Once you submit and have your design confirmed we will send you our address to your email for you to ship it to us.
5. I’ve Chosen My Design How Do I Pay?
Once you have picked your design of choice, submitted an application, and sent over your idea. We will first email to confirm that we can paint the design and double check that your shoe choice is compatible with that design choice.
Then, if all is good to go we will then send you our PayPal email invoice where you will be able to pay with either your PayPal balance or as a guest with any card. This payment method comes with a money-back guarantee, so there is no risk. Just like all payment methods available on this site.
